ISRAEL AT WAR: On July 12, 2006, Israel became engaged in a 34 day war with the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. Although short-lived, the war greatly affected not only the soldiers themselves, but the entire country of Israel. From the front lines at the Lebanese border to the streets of Jerusalem, no city was left unaffected by the war.
